URLs, and especially the ones from affiliate links, often have query parameters.
Here is an example of a URL with query parameters:
The URL above is composed of:
- The scheme (https)
- The domain name (example.com)
- The document path (page1)
- The query parameters (parameter1=value1 and parameter2=value2)
The query parameters always start after an exclamation mark: "?"
Query parameters are then separated by an ampersand character: "&"
